If you’re interested in writing songs, you're living in the right place. The Bay Area is one of the most supportive regions in the country for singer/songwriters. Bay Area audiences love to hear original material, and the music community is teeming with resources and support for fellow artists.
My goal as a songwriting teacher and coach is to help you develop your own style. If you have songs inside you, I'll help you get them out and get them working by teaching you how to apply the craft of songwriting, including hooks, melodies, chord progressions, song forms, rhyme schemes, viewpoint, voice, time frame, setting, and imagery.
New artists need support and encouragement. Lessons include coaching that addresses your needs as a developing artist. We'll discuss ways to care for the artist side of yourself, and techniques to keep new song ideas coming.
